I'm a big fan of this movie too. I cry every time I see it.
That's a great movie - brilliant cast, fantastic story, great mood music... an all round cracker!

No really, this is surely not the best movie! My fouvarite of all time is Forest Gump.
I have to agree that this movie is a filmographic masterpiece. All of the elements are done to perfection. The whole sequence of the escape and its discovery is excellent, and the scene where Andy finally crawls out of the sewer pipe is very moving for me every time I see it.
And Andy ends up running the prison library!
